Former
Pfizer & Esperion Pharmaceuticals Regulatory Executive to
Lead Aegerion’s Regulatory Efforts.
Aegerion Pharmaceuticals names John Kirk
as Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs
BRIDGEWATER, NJ (March 29, 2007) – Aegerion Pharmaceuticals,
Inc. announced that Mr. John Kirk has joined the company as
Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs. Mr. Kirk brings
over 20 years of experience in regulatory affairs and has a
proven track record in large scale, international regulatory
issues and product approvals. Mr. Kirk was most recently
Director, Worldwide Regulatory Affairs at Pfizer Global
Research & Development where he played a key role in several
programs in the cardiovascular and inflammation therapeutic
area. Prior to Pfizer, John served as Senior Director,
Regulatory Affairs at Esperion Therapeutics. Esperion was
developing late stage compounds designed to mimic or enhance
the reverse cholesterol transport function of HDL (“good
cholesterol”) when it was acquired by Pfizer in 2003. At
Esperion, John played a key role in the development and
execution of regulatory strategies for these important
developmental compounds.
